Born and raised in Southern Indiana, Griffin's early fascination with fashion evolved from drawing elaborate dresses on stick figures to mastering the art of tailoring and design, beginning his work as a tailor at the age of fifteen.
Griffin's design philosophy marries playfulness with a serious tone, drawing inspiration from the fringes of society and the queer experience. His work with unconventional materials speaks to a core aspect of his creative identity: transforming the overlooked into the exquisite.
After completing his BFA at Parsons School of Design in June 2023, Griffin has been refining his craft under the mentorship of Geoffrey Mac in New York City. He has contributed to high-profile projects, including creating standout costume designs for celebrities and drag performers such as Cyndi Lauper and stars of RuPaul's Drag Race, as well as contributing to the Victoria's Secret Fall 2024 show. His designs are not only wearable art but also celebrations of individuality and expression.
Looking ahead, Griffin aspires to specialize in custom garments and theatrical costumes for both stage and screen. His dream is to craft pieces that allow others to see the world through his visionary lens, enhancing the beauty in the bold and the unique.
Join Griffin on his journey as he crafts the future of fashion, one stitch at a time.
